weBoost Drive 4G-X Mobile Cell Signal Booster

The weBoost Drive 4G-X from Wilson Electronics is weBoost's (and Wilson's) most powerful mobile 4G cell signal booster.

The weBoost Drive 4G-X is a mobile cell signal booster that can be used to improve 3G and 4G voice and data signal in a moving vehicle.  There are many situations, even in urban environments that boosting a cell signal is important.  How many times have you been on your cell phone and told the person you are talking to that your are coming up on an area and you know your going to drop the call and that you will call them back when you get out of the area.  We all know those areas in our city and neighborhoods and even down certain parts of the freeways near us.

When conducting business on your cell phone, dropping a call is not acceptable.  The weBoost Drive 4G-X is your business tool that reduces dropped calls along with keeping your navigation and other critical mobile apps operational.  No matter what business you are in; construction, real estate

weBoost is a brand of Wilson Electronics which has been designing and manufacturing cell signal boosters for over a decade.  Wilson Electronics is the leader in mobile cell signal boosters and was the first manufacturer to offer a 4G version for vehicles.

The weBoost mobile boosters are easy to install and if necessary can be moved to different vehicles.  There are 4 basic components in a kit:

  1. Exterior Magnet Mount Antenna: The exterior antenna is designed to attach to the roof of your car with a magnetic base.  The mag-mount antenna usually is placed near the rear of the front passenger door.  Place the antenna about 6 inches from the edge of the roof and tuck the coax cable down the door column underneath the plastic.
  2. Cell Signal Booster:  The 4G booster usually is placed under the passenger seat.  The coax cable from the exterior mag-mount antenna is connected to the "output" port on the booster.  Make sure all cables are clear of the seat slides which can cut the cable.
  3. Interior Antenna:  I find it best to experiment with the interior broadcast antenna before mounting it.  Try different locations in your vehicle.  Make sure to mount the interior antenna in a vertical position and not on anything metal.
  4. Power Supply: This is plugged into a 12V vehicle power supply.  Newer cars usually have a 12v plug in the console.  This is a nice place to plug into because it is hidden and out of the way.

What you might not know about Wilson

Wilson Electronics was one of the pioneers in mobile cell signal boosters for vehicles.  Wilson was the first to have a full 4G mobile booster.  Commercial service vehicles and also vehicles in the oil and gas fields depend heavily upon Wilson products to stay in communication.  The mobile boosters have gone through multiple generations of design and are considered some of the best cell signal boosters on the market.
